church camp
well during the ANZAC day long weekend i did something most of you probably wouldn’t. I went to CHURCH CAMP WOOH! it was such an awesome time just hanging with friends listening to talks by our speaker all in all it was a great weekend. Mike came to speak for us this weekend on the book of Haggai.
Talk 1.
Learnt that we shouldn’t build panelled houses for ourselves but that we should build Gods house (: and we are a part of Gods house so yeah
Talk 2.
Learnt obstacles stop us from perservering. There were 4 Ds Distractions-panelled houses, Difficulties-stopping, Discouragement-Afraid that the day Jesus’s return will never come and lastly the Devil-Satan is at work all the time. He hates kingdom work and will do anything to stop it.
God Commands us to- Make disciples of all nations and baptise them in the name of the father the son and of the holy spirit. Kingdom work is a priority.
God Promises us that he is always with us where ever we are ^_^.
We are treasures of the nation. Gods work is not in vain be steadfast, immovable and always abounding in work.
Talk 3.
Holy+clean doesnt equal holy
Clean+Unclean=Unclean
Sin cuts us off from Holy God
God will bless us and has already blessed us.
Talk 4. wasnt really paying attention but apparently it was epic good ask others><
Gods glory is within the temple- we shouldnt turn the temple into an idol
God luvs to dwell with his people
Wells thats all i learnt from the talks nd yeah. played so much basketball was soo fun hahah (: i used like 3 shirts just playing bball =.= had great fellowship time with people food was great and yeah =] this is basically what went down at EC camp 2010! wooh hope too see you guys there next year (:!
