Rice Revolution

Ok havent posted something this long in a while but this is a must. Today was the day of Rice Revolution! started off pretty good just hanging out with friends waiting to go inside but once we were all seated thats when it began. Started off by singing songs of worship and praise to God. Afterwards band called Lucas came to perform and it was all good. Afterwards came the talk by Adrian Tam. He started off by talking about how our Generation of Gen Y were mostly lukewarm christians. which basically meant we were content with 2nd best. Adrian talked about Psalm 63 which was how King David talked about how God was on his mind 24/7. He then asked us this one question. How do lukewarm christians get burning for Jesus. Adrian talked about two kinds of fires. He talked about offering our bodies to Jesus as living sacrifices holy and blameless. He challenged us that we should burn up things that stop us from loving Jesus. A new concept was introduced that we are good at understanding God’s love in theory as a concept. Adrian told us to say Yes to Jesus everyday and no to everything else. The everything else are things that threatens to take away our love for Jesus. Jesus love frees us from everything. What we have merely learnt we can only teach but what we have experienced we can imitate. Personally I was very challenged by this talk and have learnt many new things. One thing I hope to do is to burn up the things that do threaten to take away my love for Jesus. I also hope to say yes to Jesus everyday and no to everything else. It would be super awesome for those readers out there if you could pray for me and not just me but every other single youth who went to Rice Revolution and was challenged by this talk. Anyways after the talk we had one crazy epic time of worship where everyone got up and sang songs to God. One song that fired everybody up and I really mean everybody was Hosanna. Afterwards massive time of prayer session woot where we just prayed for all the school zones for revival. Finally our day came to an end and we all had to leave. However, I’m sure everyone who went took away something and will apply it to their lives. So yeah hope you all go out there and do something about this (:
